HELLO! I have just completed the Globus Tour "Celtic Highlights," and I had a myriad of amazing experiences that I would love to share through this blog! We started in Glasgow, Scotland, and visited Edinburgh and Inverness. The tour then rolled through the Lake District of England and we stayed in Liverpool where I had the amazing expereince of walking the same streets of my beloved Beatles and visiting the new attraction "The Beatles Story." I was overwhelmed by the idea that I was in the same city I spent so much time discussing during my teenage years! We then rode to Dublin, Ireland, where I visited the Hard Rock Cafe to add to my pin collection, and then on to Killarney, Limerick, and Sligo. I felt so priveleged to visit Northern Ireland and to learn about the struggles that occurred there for so many years. Finally, we visited the industrial town of Belfast and boarded an amazing ferry across the Irish Sea back to Scotland. If anyone would like to discuss any of the sites in these places, please respond!
